Mistletoe exhibition of the Botanical Association Berlin Brandenburg (BVBB) in the University Library
Since the beginning of the year, the university library has housed an exhibition on the "Biology of Mistletoe Species in Germany" for the Botanical Association Berlin Brandenburg, curated by Prof. Dr. Thomas Hartmann. The exhibition deals with the life cycle of the mistletoe plant in 3 display cases and is supplemented by macro- and microscopic specimens, photos and drawings of the mistletoe infested Scots pine and silver fir as well as various broad-leaved trees. Many questions of the system "mistletoe plant - host wood" are still unanswered. Perhaps this exhibition inspires one or the other to deal with the mistletoe plants.
Since February 1st, the UMWELTdigital database has been freely accessible to university members. UMWELTdigital contains laws, ordinances, administrative regulations and technical rules of German and European environmental law in the fields of environmental law: Waste management, general environmental law, chemicals and hazardous substances, energy management, water protection, immission control, soil and nature protection, radiation protection and consumer protection (https://www.umweltdigital.de)
Electronic Journals Library (EZB)
The University Library has been an active member of the ECB since November 1st, 2018. It provides access to approximately 80,000 scientific electronic journals, of which more than 30,000 are full-text readable for university members. In addition to a quick search and an extended search option, you can also view the journals newly included in the EZB. Additional filters can also be used to limit the display to journals licensed from our university library or Open Access journals. A look at the EZB can therefore save you time and inter-library loan costs when searching for and evaluating journal articles.
Rental of various charging cables and headphones
From now on it is possible to borrow various charging cables and headphones at the lending desk of the university library.
New options for research and account management
The improved version of our library system offers you the following new applications:
You can have the catalogue data of media borrowed by you saved by ticking the Borrowing history box under User data in your account.
You can limit the search to theses for a specific degree programme or a specific language in which the medium you are looking for is to be written.
Set of hits sorting and filtering
The search results you generate can be further processed ("filtered") in the "Limit hits" column, e.g. by author, keyword or year of publication.
